How to find your unit serial number

If you already have an AWS Weather Station, it contains a part called a Data Logger or a Master Control Unit. One of our newer models is shown below, but they all look basically the same.

On the back of this unit, there is a serial number. These serial numbers begin with either DL (pre-1997) or AW (after '97). The next two digits are the model year (97, 98, etc.). The remaining digits are a production number. Your serial number might be DL96450 or AW99112. Provide us your best guess if the number is handwritten.

Your serial number is especially important if you are experiencing problems with humidity readings or erroneous wind gusts. If you are buying replacement parts the serial number is required before we can quote you a price.
