Do we need our computer/phone line during the installation process?

It is recommended that your computer be available during the installation process, but it is not absolutely necessary.

For sites that are utilizing Internet based communications it is highly recommended that you have your computer since it is required to allow AWS to remotely access and calibrate your system.

For modem based sites, your computer is not necessary to allow AWS remote access (AWS can dial directly to your modem through your phone line). It is highly recommended that your phone line be installed and activated prior to installation to AWS to remotely access your system upon completion of installation.

Your digital display will allow you to ensure that your weather station is operating correctly if your computer is not available.
