[QUESTION]

How do I arrange for AWS to repair our system?

[ANSWER] Contact AWS Tech Support and you will be assigned an RMA number. This number is our way of tracking a returned piece of equipment. The following explains general repair procedures.

Under Warranty

If your system is less than 1 year old, repairs and replacement are covered by your warranty. Components are shipped to AWS and either repaired or replaced. In order for AWS to honor your warranty, you must ship the malfunctioning part back to AWS. The AWS warranty does not cover damage due to "acts of God," negligence or vandalism.

No Warranty

Expensive components such as the Data Logger/MCU and the Digital Display can be repaired at AWS. Low-cost components, such as modems, must be replaced. After a warranty has expired, the customer is responsible for replacement and repair costs. Repairs are usually billed using a flat-rate pricing scheme that includes all labor and taxes. Contact AWS Tech Support to obtain a part number and price or estimated repair price, and then fax a purchase order to AWS at (301) 948-7310.
