| If your unit was manufactured in 1997 or later (Serial Number AW97xxx or higher), the first thing you should check is your other numbers. If your temperature reads -100 and your relative humidity is 5, you have a loose connection in your main data cable. This is the cable that runs from the roof into the master control unit. Try disconnecting and then reconnecting the cable (usually blue) at the back of the master control. If that does't work , you might need to take a look at the other end of the cable up on the roof (labeled DATA in the picture below) and do the same thing.
If wind is the only invalid reading, then you most likely have a loose connection up on the roof. Disconnect and then securely re-connect the wind sensor cable. This cable connects to the WIND port as seen in the picture below.
If trying these two things doesn't help, you might have a more complicated problem.
Units manufactured before 1997 use the old-style spinning-cup anemometers. The wind sensor has its own cable that runs from the roof down into the building. Check this cable at both ends to ensure the connection is tight. The wind cable has a piece of blue tape around it to help you identify it.
