![[QUESTION]](http://wwc.aws.com/aws_2001/images/q.jpg) |
The Wind Direction seems wrong or doesn't move even though the wind vane does. |
![[ANSWER]](http://wwc.aws.com/aws_2001/images/a.jpg) |
If your wind direction seems inaccurate, try the following:
Keep in mind that wind is measured in the direction it is coming FROM
On white, cup anemometers the aluminum arm must point EAST
On propellor anemometers the junction box faces SOUTH
If your direction still seems wrong, contact AWS.
If your wind vane moves, but that doesn't show up on the display, there is an outside chance that one of the pins or wires inside your data cable has become disconnected. If you have some way of testing the continuty of the wires, that would be a great help to tech support. If the wire and connectors are in good shape and connected properly you might have a more complicated problem requring repair or replacement of parts.
