Hart, Inc. Partners with WeatherBug To Distribute WeatherBug® Achieve at Southeastern Schools

Germantown, MD, – August 10, 2005 – WeatherBug®, the leading provider of live, local weather information services has signed a VAR agreement with Hart, Inc. to distribute WeatherBug Achieve. Hart will be introducing WeatherBug Achieve, an interactive educational application that teaches students math, science, geography, and technology through real life weather conditions via lesson plans that align with national and state education standards, to schools in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

“Hart, Inc. is highly selective in products we sell to our southeastern schools,” said Brett Eaker, president of Hart, Inc. “We are pleased to add WeatherBug Achieve to our curriculum, and we are confident we’ll help teachers and students to improve classroom participation and performance with fun and informative activities.”

Achieve’s integration of real-life weather conditions with hands-on classroom curriculum will enhance learning and interaction with other students and teachers from kindergarten through 12th grade. Studies have shown students of all ages and backgrounds have benefited both personally and academically from the use of WeatherBug Achieve when incorporated into text book curriculum. In the 2004-2005 School year over 250,000 students and teachers logged in to WeatherBug Achieve to learn with real live data and plan interactive lessons where students experience hands on learning.

“We are excited to partner with Hart, Inc. in educating students in the Carolinas and Georgia,” said Bob Onsi, director and general manager of WeatherBug Achieve. “With the upcoming hurricane season, the new program offers more than just education. Both teachers and students will find reassurance and feel better prepared for weather conditions that can directly affect them and those close to them.”
