ABC 7/WJLA-TV & NewsChannel 8 are now the only local Washington, D.C. television stations to offer viewers access to WeatherBug’s up-to-the-second, live, neighborhood-local weather conditions from 650 WeatherBug Tracking Stations and 106 WeatherBug Cameras in the Washington, D.C. area. "With instant access to more than 650 live, local weather stations, ABC 7 will be able to offer vital local weather information more accurately, more effectively, more often, and over more platforms than any other TV News station in the area,” said ABC 7 Chief Meteorologist Doug Hill. “And, the fact that our viewers can download the WeatherBug onto their computers and access the same information that we can, in real time…what could be cooler than that?" "WeatherBug welcomes ABC 7 and NewsChannel 8 to our broadcast family,” said Andy Jedynak, WeatherBug GM and senior vice president. “We look forward to working with the stations and the Emmy-award winning chief meteorologist, Doug Hill. Known as Washington’s most accurate weather forecaster, Hill and his meteorology team of Brian van de Graaff and Joe Witte do an excellent job forecasting the weather for ABC 7 News and for Doug Hill’s Weather Now, the area’s only all-local 24-hour weather channel. We know this is only the beginning of a long-term relationship."
