AWS Convergence Technologies Launches MesoStreamer™ for Energy Traders
AWS Convergence Technologies, Inc, which owns and operates the world's largest network of weather monitoring stations, today launched MesoStreamer, an online application providing instantaneous weather information and analysis designed specifically for energy traders and distribution operators.

Gaithersburg, MD (May 1, 2002) - AWS Convergence Technologies, Inc, which owns and operates the world's largest network of weather monitoring stations, today launched MesoStreamer, an online application providing instantaneous weather information and analysis designed specifically for energy traders and distribution operators.
MesoStreamer is powered by the vast AWS WeatherNet network, which includes more than 5,000 automated monitoring stations across the U.S. The Web-based product delivers real-time WeatherNet data allowing energy traders to monitor changing weather conditions by the second, including instantaneous mesoscale weather information and analysis.
MesoStreamer offers the most comprehensive views of up-to-the-second weather information, short-term forecasts and historical weather analysis tools, such as:
- Geographic and table views of live weather conditions streamed from AWS weather stations network and mapped to specific power trading grids
- An ensemble of forecast data including three high-resolution forecasts
- Deviation of actual temperatures from forecasted temps that can be tracked and analyzed
- Detailed local historical weather data trends
