AWS PC-MET V4.0 (PC)
PC-MET v4.0 supports automated communications with AWS weather stations through a wide array of communications technologies, including direct serial connections, standard analog phone modems, cellular modems, RF transceivers, and now Internet based TCP/IP communications. Through AWS’ innovative Internet based communications PC-MET v4.0 software will be able to monitor real time, up-to-the-second conditions from AWS weather stations connected to the Net worldwide; all with no long distance telecommunication expenses! Internet based communications also allow for simultaneous, multiple site real time displays!
Designed for ease of use, PC-MET v4.0 gives the user point and click access to the wealth of data monitored by AWS weather stations. Standard features include fully automated communications, custom mapping displays, historical graphs, real time graphical and strip chart displays, and statistical data tables. Graphing and mapping modules are extremely versatile and use toolbars to allow the user to select which stations and weather parameters to display. All graphics are printable with the click of a mouse.
For educational use PC-MET v4.0 also includes integrated help and lesson files to increase its usefulness in the classroom. Definitions and background information are included for each weather parameter included in the AWS system.

*For users that have an AWS weather station connected directly to their computer the modem is optional. A 9600 baud external modem is included with every AWS PC-MET weather station. It is primarily designed to take incoming calls. It is possible to use this modem to make outgoing calls as well.
